About Me

  LIDIA NUR UTAMI, M.Pd.

SMPN 1 MOJOWARNO

I am an English Teacher with experiences of teaching university students, High School students, Vocational School and lastly I am now teaching at Junior High School. To the best of my knowledge, teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) is such a huge challenge.
Why is it so?
It is first, because of the status in which English is totally foreign in our context, different from English as taught in Malaysia, Singapore, or India in which English is a second language.
Second, here English is taught amid hard conditions: limited exposure, facilities, and motivation. Thus, EFL teachers have the biggest challenge to improve students' competence while still worrying with those hindrances. .
As a consequence, teachers should equip him/herself to be good in everything: subject matter, classroom management, interactions, and technology which will help them face all the challenges ahead. Bravo English Teachers.
